Testimonials:

" After several months of unemployment following an injury I contacted Tabs Training to refresh my skills and gain additional qualifications.
I received a very warm welcome and the staff at Tabs are knowledgeable, friendly, supportive and could not do enough for me.
During my Employability course I needed to take some time off to deal with some problems at home. The centre manager, Gordon was extremely understanding and supportive - which helped immensely.
My tutors - Rebecca and Andy were fantastic and made me feel supported enough to continue the course the following week. They adapted their schedule so I could make time to catch up.
The Employability tutors are very professional and have supported me throughout - I am very impressed.
This course has been a very positive experience, enabling me to gain confidence, knowledge and develop my communication skills.

Thank you Tabs Training!"

"When I was made redundant it came as a bit of a shock to the system, since I have been attending TABS I have recovered some of my confidence and self esteem. All of this is due to the friendly staff and manor of the help given when required.

My level of Maths was accepable, but with the help of the TABS staff pointing me in the right direction, my English has improved greatly. Since enroling on the Employability and Personal Development course I have enjoyed the group work, discussions, quizes and the more intimate contact with the tutor.  Andy Wills (our wonderful tutor) was willing to anwser all of the groups questions in a way that was easily understood by all of us.

In conclusion, I would like to say a big thank you for helping me to regain some dignity and confidence when facing the big wide world and finding another job".

"The reason for adjoining TABS training was to achieve my Counterbalance Fork Lift Licence.

I also felt that in the past year I haven’t been receiving much response to job application I’ve made. The Employability course has boosted my confidence with cover/speculative letters, CV updating and morals for future interviews. This help will hopefully give me positive feedback and a bright new future in a new career.

Thanks to Andy Wills for all his help. His friendly, approachable manner meant such a lot for confidence in speaking within a group and on one to one basis"

"For me, raising a family for the first time has been both a challenging and rewarding experience. It has also given me the opportunity to put life in more perspective. I came to realize that I not only need to get back to work but I need a career - one that is going to support me, my family and household.

Tabs training have given me the opportunity to do that.

I have been out of work since I’ve entered the world of parenthood and as you can imagine, getting back into employment become a scary idea for me.

I had very low confidence and no idea that I could put all the skills I learned from being a parent into an eye-catching CV. Now I’m certain I can reach my goal in a career change, hoping to work as an admin assistant. Thanks to the wonderful staff at Tabs and their support I’ve gained a Level 2 qualification in Adult Literacy and completed the Employability course with full marks.

My Employability tutor, Andy Wills showed me how to write covering and speculative letters, which I had never done before. He also taught me that being a parent equals good time management and organizational skills and this looks great on my CV. The group work and quiz making has boosted my confidence in speaking aloud amongst people, previously I’ve always found difficult.

Completing the Employability and Literacy courses has given me the confidence to study further, gain Level 2 in Adult Numeracy and do a short course in IT. After all that hard work and support I will put my new skills (and ones that I didn’t know I had) into practice and get the job that can give me a better life"

Thank you so much Tabs training. You’ve been fantastic!

"The reason I joined the Employability and Personal Development course was to improve my C.V and to write up a covering letter which I have struggled with. Over the past 5 months I’ve struggled with finding work and this has knocked my confidence a great deal.

I was very nervous to start with but as the days went on I became more involved with group activities. I had an interview today and all the interview techniques which I was taught helped me out greatly and I felt I was clear with my answers.

Beforehand I had a lot of problems with my English and Maths so I have updated my skills and have pasted my Numeracy and Literacy which has given me even more motivation to succeed. I was surprised how well I am doing and would like to thank the whole team at Tabs for the help they have given me.

I couldn’t have done it without you and appreciate all the help I was given. One word to explain my experience........ Remarkable"

“I am really grateful to all the support, patience and kindness you have shown me. I have really enjoyed studying with you and I am sad to go. It’s been a home from home and thanks you for making me feel welcome and for giving me the skills and confidence to move on.

All the best and take care.”

Mandy Cooper

“My thanks to you and your team for your help and support over the past months. Coming in and seeing your smiley faces 2-3 times a week made a difference to my day and kept me sane during my long period of unemployment. I start work on Monday, so the completion of the course has been well timed.

A few times when I looked up from my computer, I enjoyed watching you, and how you interacted with everyone, so patiently and encouragingly, treating everyone the same. You provide a really good service, thanks.

Also my thanks go to Jacky, Trevor, and to the other merry gentleman who always remembered my name and made me feel important by doing so!

I hope the move to the news premises goes well.

I shall miss you all”.

Best wishes

Penny
