Sales & Marketing Co-ordinator - Reading

Ref: REA/007

The role: We are looking for a professional Sales and Marketing Coordinator to work with and promote our adult training centre in Reading.  You will develop strong working relationships with new and existing referral partners within the area in order to recruit learners onto our courses.  Working to challenging weekly and monthly performance targets, your goal will be to increase the number of learners being referred from a breadth of referral partners.  You will have the opportunity to develop new and original marketing techniques and the scope to seek out new partnerships.

The person: You will have excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills, which you will have developed while working with delivery teams and management, and external partners/clients.  The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of succeeding in a target-driven sales environment, and preferably will have knowledge of the Welfare-to-Work market.  You will also be a confident presenter with proven organisation and work planning skills that enable you to deliver a high standard of work.  You will also have a flare for creativity and marketing know-how.  You will be experienced in networking and building effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.  You will have experience generating high levels of repeat business as well as delivering against sales performance targets.  Applicants must also have their own transport.

Package: This is a full-time role with a salary of £18,000 to £20,000 per annum depending on experience.  We also offer a bonus scheme linked to the attainment of targets, and a Company pension scheme.  You will receive 21 days holiday rising to 28.5 days per annum, plus bank holidays, free onsite parking and business mileage.

Training Centre Manager - Oxford

Ref: OXF/011

The role: We are looking to appoint an experienced manager to lead the team at our adult training centre in Oxford.  This is a fantastic opportunity for you to combine your strong leadership skills and passion for learning to enable your team in supporting learners to achieve their career aspirations.

You will be responsible for the overall operational management of the team at Oxford, ensuring the highest levels of customer service are delivered on a consistent basis while creating a motivating environment in which the team can thrive in achieving the centre targets and their own professional goals. 

This is a challenging role in which you will ensure course programmes are delivered in line with internal and external awarding body standards and that the quality of the learner experience is excellent throughout.  You will also be responsible for ensuring the centre is well presented in compliance with H&S requirements and for maintaining control of internal budgets.  You will provide regular and accurate management reports to show progress against targets and will take responsibility for developing your team through effective team and individual meetings.

The person: The successful candidate will have proven experience of leading and motivating a small team, ideally within a commercial setting. You are likely to have experience delivering high quality training courses to a variety of audiences, within strict regulatory standards and audit requirements.  You will be used to working to and achieving regular targets, and will have experience in formally reporting on progress against targets.  You will be an effective communicator and have confidence actively managing a team to ensure high standards are consistently met. Candidates may hold a relevant PTTLS/DTTLS qualification or will be willing to work towards it, and must have strong IT skills.

The package: Salary: £20,000 - £24,000 depending on experience, in addition to a company bonus scheme linked to attainment of targets, a pension scheme and business mileage. 21 days holiday per year, rising to a maximum of 28.5 days, plus bank holidays.

Careers Advisor - Swindon

Ref: SWI/002

Have you ever thought about becoming a careers advisor?

The role: We are looking to employ a Careers Advisor at our busy training centre in Swindon.  You will provide well-informed, tailored advice to individuals relating to learning and development opportunities and their personal career goals in line with the National Careers Service guidelines.  Your main responsibilities will include meeting clients on an individual or group basis to advise on updating their skills, looking at progression into work, helping with letters of application and CV construction, and using the internet as a search tool.  Part of your role will include delivering the service to the community from venues such as Jobcentre Plus, adult education centres, community centres and on company premises in cases of redundancy. You will also liaise with new and existing referral partners and will maintain accurate records in line with contractual requirements.

The person: The ideal candidate will have experience running advisory sessions with adults on an individual and group basis, mentoring and coaching to achieve goals, and forming effective working relationships with a wide range of people and organisations. You will also have good knowledge of occupational, career, learning and other pathway opportunities both locally and nationally. You will have the Level 3 IAG qualification and will be willing to work towards Level 4; ideal candidates will have already obtained Level 4.

The package: This is a full-time role (Monday to Friday) with a salary of £16,000 - £19,000 per annum, depending on experience, in addition to a company bonus scheme linked to attainment of targets and a pension scheme. 21 days holiday per year, rising to 28.5 days, plus bank holidays.

Careers Advisor - Salisbury (part-time)

We have an opportunity for you to put your expertise into practice and share your knowledge with adult learners who could really benefit from the skills you have.  Whatever your background, whether it is in IT, recruitment, customer service, careers advising or teaching, we may have just the opportunity for you and are willing to support you in attaining a qualification while in the role. 

A bit about us: TABS Training Ltd delivers training to adults from a variety of backgrounds and we aim to equip them with essential skills to develop their confidence as well as pointing them in the right direction for gaining qualifications and finding work in an area in which they can thrive.  We are now looking to recruit someone with passion and enthusiasm to join our team at Salisbury as a training and careers advisor. This is a great opportunity to interact with a wide variety of people and you will be rewarded by seeing them progress throughout their time with TABS and beyond.

What we are looking for: The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to encourage and motivate individuals to recognise their career aspirations.  You will be highly accurate and will have a strong grounding in administration that will enable you to keep records up to date.  Ideal candidates will have experience providing advice on an individual and group basis and ideally you will have a Level 4 IAG qualification.  However, we would like to encourage applicants without this to apply as we can support you in working towards it.  Excellent IT skills are essential.

The package:  This is a part-time role of three days per week (days to be agreed).  The salary is £16,000 to £19,000 pro rata depending on experience, plus an incentive bonus scheme.  We also offer a company pension scheme and 21 days holiday, rising to a maximum of 28.5 days per annum, plus bank holidays (pro rata for part-time staff).  There is free car parking available on site.

Health and Social Care Tutors 

Post 1 ref CTDN/003: Chippenham and the surrounding area

The role: We are looking to appoint experienced and qualified Tutors in H&SC to join us in delivering HSC Level 1 across training centres in the above locations.  In this key role you will support your caseload of learners for the duration of their study programme to national occupational standards for QCF qualifications. You will take ownership of the learners and provide high standards of teaching and quality assurance to meet our requirements and those of our key stakeholders.

Working within our successful delivery team in a customer-focussed environment, you will work with our customers who have an aspiration to gain employment within the H&SC environment, by providing a professional and effective learning experience.

The person: Applicants will have previous practical experience working in the sector and will hold a H&SC qualification at Level 3 or above.  You will have experience of delivering training to colleagues within the adult and elderly care sector and will have proven skills in motivating learners and managing groups through their study programmes, being flexible in your teaching style as appropriate.  Applicants will have minimum GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent) and will be IT literate, particularly in Microsoft Office packages.  You will have excellent administrative and organisational skills to support you in your delivery.  The role involves travel and for this you must have access to a car and be willing to travel.

The package: The salary for these positions is £18,000 - £20,000 per annum, depending on experience.  We also offer a company pension scheme and 21 days holiday, rising to 28.5 plus bank holidays.
